MES and ERP System Analysis: the development of valve technology is inseparable from the support of new standard and new system

China's valve industry has developed for decades, during which time, the valve standard has also been a considerable development. However, the technical content and appearance design of the valve industry are still the focus and difficulty of development. At present, the domestic valve products have been able to meet their own needs, so it is more necessary to expand the export and expand the market.

After decades of development, China's valve manufacturing industry has made great progress. At present, the number of China's valve enterprises ranks first in the world, the level of valve production has been greatly improved, and the valve production has achieved a significant increase. At present, the number of Chinese valve enterprises is very large, and the development of the valve industry is relatively mature, especially the product category has been greatly improved, including gate valve, globe valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, safety valve, check valve, throttle valve, plug valve, pressure reducing valve, diaphragm valve, drain valve, emergency shut-off valve, etc.

At present, the total annual demand of China's valve market is no less than 10 billion yuan. According to the scientific concept of development, in order to ensure the coordinated development of the economy and improve the people's life in the future, China will inevitably put the infrastructure construction, such as water, electricity, gas, heat, etc., at the top of the list, which is exactly where the valve will be used. That is to say, as a new type rather than replacement type of Chinese valve market, its demand potential and explosive force will be amazing.

Although the overall level of the valve industry has been greatly improved, but the quality is not stable enough, such as running, emitting, dripping, leaking phenomenon often occurs in domestic valves. In addition, there is still a certain gap between China's valve supporting capacity and developed countries. In addition, China's valve industry is still dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises. At present, the competition in the industry is mainly low-end products. Informal competition means are disrupting the development of the market, causing great harm to the valve manufacturing industry.

Due to the rapid expansion of the market, the original state-owned valve enterprises have been shut down and turned around. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, China's localization of high-end equipment parts will further increase. In China's current valve market, in addition to the low-pressure valve has reached an acceptable level in the international market, the high-pressure valve still depends on imports. Therefore, to improve the level and grade of domestic valve products is the first major problem in the development of valve industry.

In 2012, the total import and export volume of China's valve industry reached US $24.1 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 28.2%. Among them, the total export volume was 22.4 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 29.3%; the total import volume was 20.134 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 27%. With the recovery of world economy, the import and export of China's valve products have also increased.

By 2015, China's valve market will be 10% larger than that of the United States and four times larger than that of Japan. Buyers will buy $2.4 billion worth of valves. By 2015, three of the top 10 purchasers and six of the top 20 will be in Asia.

At present, there are more than 3000 valve manufacturers in China, ranking first in the world. But most of them are low-level, small-scale, family workshop type enterprises, with less than 500 enterprises with annual sales revenue of 5 million yuan, only a dozen enterprises with annual sales revenue of over 100 million yuan, and the total market share of the top 10 enterprises is only 8% - 9%. Because the industry concentration is too low, which leads to many adverse factors such as backward technology, low price competition, lack of influential brands, etc., the huge Chinese valve market still has no real brand.

With the acceleration of valve industry restructuring, the future industry will be the competition between valve product quality and safety and product brand, and the product will develop towards high technology, high parameters, strong corrosion resistance and high life. Under the circumstance of huge demand, China's valve manufacturing industry will have a better development prospect.

While we should make full use of the existing standards, we should look forward to the future, and work out new standards and systems that can be applied to the future development, so as to promote the development of valve technology to a higher level, and constantly improve the level and grade of valve products. It is believed that the valve industry in China will have a better development prospect under the huge demand environment.
